Tourmalines are an incredible mix of compounds making this a great name for the variant. Tourmaline is a crystal silicate mineral compounded with elements such as aluminium, iron, magnesium, sodium, lithium, or potassium. Tourmaline is classed as a semi−precious stone and the gem comes in a wide variety of colors. They were originally brought to Europe from Sri Lanka, where many tourmalines are mined to this day. There are several different flavors (species) of tourmalines, the most common is schrol which is usually black.
